Raising Awareness Of Something Everybody Already Knows About Doesn't Fix Anything

Greenpeace, what is the matter with you? Mt. Rushmore, srsly? You think that putting a banner up at Mt. Rushmore is going to draw attention to global warming? I've got news for you, Greenpeace. Everybody knows about global warming. If people won't stop driving their Hummers, it's because they don't give a shit, and putting a huge sign up in South-fucking-Dakota isn't going to change anybody's mind.

And of all the controversial places to choose from, you choose Mt. Rushmore, home of the Generic Family Vacation. It took something like 14 years to build, and I'm guessing they dynamite they used to help sculpt it isn't exactly eco-friendly. How did you get up that long, stupid road to get to it, anyway? Tandem bicycles? Or did you drive the same fucking cars that everybody does, only contributing to the problem, but that's okay because as long as you're RAISING AWARENESS, it erases your carbon footprint, right?

Maybe you just stick to sucking the blood out of beached whales or whatever the fuck it is that you usually do. Greenpeace, you have the right idea, but just...how does it get so lost in the execution?

The most annoying thing about the extreme fringe groups (besides their holier-than-thou attitude) is that people like Rush and Sarah Palin then say they're examples of the liberals, like we don't find Greenpeace and PETA to be a bunch of a-holes as much as they do.
