Did I Mention I'm Sick? Because I'm Sick.

So I've been sick. Maybe you've heard about it on Twitter, or Facebook, or maybe you heard me screaming off the back deck "I'M SICK PAY ATTENTION TO ME."

I don't do well with being sick, and I'm all alone this week since the family is in Utah, plus I got fired for the first time ever on Saturday, so I'm having a little pity party over here.

According to WebMD, I have the flu. I've googled the shit out of the flu, and I'm thinking WebMD is right. I didn't know you could get the flu in the summer (unless I has swine flu oh noes)? Whatever. The point is that I'm sick as hell, and I've been sick for like five days. Last night, I took some acetaminophen and promptly threw it straight back up. I took more, and once again, it came right back up. I realized, oh, you know, I haven't eaten in a few days, maybe this would go down well with some ice cream. And man, did it ever. And I got to eat ice cream at 2 am, score! I'm starting to feel better, but I'm still nowhere near better. I'm hoping I'll be fine by this weekend because I have some shopping to do.

So I got fired. I didn't go into detail because I am a) shocked b) pissed. This woman, this total bitch calls me on Saturday to ask if I'm feeling better, since I went home Friday. I told her I still felt like shit, but I was going to try to come in anyway. Her response was, in this totally snotty tone "You know what, I just don't think this is going to work out. Let's just cut ties before we get in this too deep." It took me a full five seconds to comprehend what she had meant by that because I was wondering when exactly we had started dating. I got some very encouraging emails from other former employees of hers via Facebook, so at least I have confirmation that she's crazy. One girl was fired ten minutes into her first shift for admitting she was a Democrat according to one of my friends, so maybe it's a good thing that my boss broke up with me. Although it looks like everybody thinks her coffee sucks according to the internet. Somebody named Jenny really hates her, according to every ratings site that the shop is listed on. She must have really pissed off "Jenny."
